Punjabi Singer Nirmal Sidhu Biography

Nirmal SidhuNirmal Sidhu was born in village Tehna, District Faridkot and he also grew up there. Nirmal Sidhu belongs to a middle class Jatt family with strict up bringing. He used to live near Gurdwara and got inspired by listening to Kirtan/Gurbani. Since childhood Nirmal was interested in music.

At the age of 12 Master Naginder Singh Chahal inspired him to learn more music and educate himself. Finally he finished Masters in Music. In 1987, his first song was broadcasted on Doordarshan, Jallandhar.

That song enabled him to establish himself in the field off commercial music. Then onward most of his music was in the capacity of music director for various singers. In 2000, Lux Zee Cine Award asked Mr. Sidhu to perform.

Since then, Nirmal Sidhu has composed many audio, video albums and TV serials, as a Singer/Music Composer. A wide range of hit albums have covers under his direction.

He would to carry on making music bearing in mind, representing wider Indian culture, however not forgetting Northern culture at the same time. Nirmal Sidhu would like to interact with wider audience because music industry and audience’s taste is changing rapidly, and he doesn’t want to be left behind. Sidhu would like to see that younger generation is connected with today’s music as well as enjoys classic, traditional and original music.

Besides continuing to make music for his music lover fans, the future plan of Nirmal Sidhu is to promote active participation towards Global Warming & Climate Change. He believes, it has become “Global Warning Worldwide. However, being an Indian and connected strongly to Punjab he consider it’s his duty to play the part to bring awareness amongst people the impact of GW&CH on Punjab, where ever and when ever possible.

“Also whilst, doing this I would strongly urge people not to ignore the reality of Punjab’s younger generation with Drug Addiction problem and fleeing away. If our Punjab is lacking younger generation Punjabi will lose its identity, Nirmal Sidhu says.


Hardee Biography

Hardee Punjabi SingerHardeep Singh also known as Hardee is the rising young British born Punjabi singer who is ready to make his mark on Bhangra music. Hardee is a dynamic force that only has one mission on his mind and that is to get the masses off their behind and onto the dance floor.

Hailing from East London, Hardee got his first taste of the music bug at the age of 15 where he would be invited to sing at family gatherings and private parties. Not shy of taking to the stage and grabbing the mic, Hardee decided singing is what he enjoyed most and embarked on putting his debut single ‘Ishareh’ together.

Growing up, Hardee was exposed to a range of music from urban street beats and Hip-Hop to Bollywood music and Bhangra. However, it was the exposure to artists such as the late Surjit Bindrakhia and Jazzy B that inspired Hardee to sing in Punjabi. These artists influenced his performing style and enabled him to build his confidence on stage.

He explains, ‘I’d like to think that my musical influences shape my performance and style and I hope that this is reflected in my work’.

At present Hardee is continuing work on his debut album and performing around the country to promote his debut single ‘Ishareh’.


Punjabi Singer Jatinder Brar – Biography

Jatinder BrarJatinder Brar wa born on september 9 in a typical Punjabi village Uppli and grown up in a town known as Barnala.

Jatinder Brar has had schooling from B.G.S. Public school Barnala and from school days he had strong feelings towards music, after that he went to S.G.G.S. College also known as Khalsa college Chandigarh Sector 26 for his further Education and then from Punjab University Chandigarh he did his Masters.

During up’s and down in my life my whole family has always inspired me to become a ‘famous singer’ and this passion got spark in college during Youth Festivals and continues in Punjab University Chandigarh and lasts forever. This eager for music has caught fire in the form of Jatinder Brar’s first most music album TERE NAAL – Forever.

Satinder Sartaj Biography

Satinder SartajSatinder Sartaj was born in an ordinary farmer family of remote and drowsy village Bajrawarpur in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab state. In his childhood, Satinder Sartaj was too much inspired by the nature and very serious about the aspects of life. Since then he used to praise the beauty of nature. Every natural phenomenon inspires Satinder Sartaj very much. He studied in the Government school of his village Bajrawarpur till 5th class.

Curiously, he used to marvel at the beauty and fragrance of flowers, spectrum of rainbow, the water springs in the calm surroundings besides the melodic strains of music that flowed from a flute and sarangi which the wandering folk and sufi musicians played.

As a child he developed a taste for the perfect Punjabi tradition and the Sufiana Qalaams though apparently it was not within his conceptual grasp. However an intense desire to learn and imbibe the rich mysticism of sufiana music dominated in his educational career.

Following the passion of his inner soul, Satinder Sartaj concentrated on his sufiana musical career having done his M. Phil in Sufi music singing and later a doctorate in Sufi singing (gayan) from Punjab University. With a view to have an close feel of the divine radiance and mystic experiences of the greats like Jalludin Rumi, Shams Tabrezi from Iran, Satinder Sartaj had secured a diploma in Persian with distinction.

When Satinder Sartaj started singing, he felt to have a different surname. One night he was sleeping in hostel of the university, and woke up at 3 AM tried but couldn’t sleep again. He picked up the paper-pen, starts writing the song, and the last line was ‘Tere Sir Taareyan Da Taj Ve’ at this moment he adopted the surname Sartaj.

Revealing in the glory of the mysticism of Baba Farid, Bulle Shah, Sultan Bahu, Shah Hussain and others, the accomplished singer Satinder Sartaj had recorded his first album of Sufi music called Mehfil-E-Sartaj. Now he writes like Waris Shah, Dresses like Waris Shah.
